You have questions. wE have answers.
Registering for exams can be quite tricky – you want to get everything just right. We know you’ll have some questions and hope you’ll find the answer to most of them below, but if you don’t – just get in touch.
Of course! We know that taking exams in a new place can sometimes be overwhelming. If you’d like to come and visit us to see how friendly we are and go through what will happen on your exam day, you can select this option on
the registration form and we will contact you to arrange a date and time convenient to you. There will be a small, additional charge for this service, but previous candidates have said this takes a lot of stress out of sitting
Yes. We can help you by writing to the exam board and coordinating your access arrangements. Access arrangements are modifications that support you in your exam so that you are not disadvantaged. Being granted these arrangements
is at the sole discretion of the exam board and will depend on how you usually work in your studies. The exam board will usually ask for proof that you have worked this way regularly. We will also provide any special equipment,
or even a person (a friendly one, of course), which you may be entitled to, during your exam. There is an additional charge for coordinating access arrangements, but we’ll let you know all this if it is relevant to you.
The Enter Centre is where you will sit your exam. You will usually sit your exam in the main hall, unless you have a reason to sit with fewer other candidates or have access arrangements which require a smaller, personal exam space. You can find The Enter Centre on this page.

The timing of the release of your results (and certificate), depending on the qualification you have taken, is determined by the exam board. You may have to wait for a specific date (A Levels and GCSE) or it will be a short time after your exam paper or course work is submitted.
You can choose to have the results and certificate emailed to you, posted to you or you can come back to The Enter Centre and they can be given to you personally. Someone can also collect them on your behalf, but we will need to see proof that you have given them permission to do this.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, we do not have rooms available for pre- or post-examination use by candidates. Candidates should arrive at least 15 to 30 minutes before their exam start time. If candidates arrive earlier, they may not be permitted access into the building due to Covid-19 restrictions. Candidates will be accommodated and positioned in the exam room to best comply with Covid-19 restrictions and keep candidates and Enter CIC staff at safe distances. Candidates are expected to leave the building when advised by the Examinations Officer. Candidates should take all personal belongings with them when leaving as subsequent access may not be possible due to our Covid-19 cleaning and sanitisation routine.
