A World of Opportunity

Lots of young people have attended our exam centre this week to sit their GCSE and IGCSE English Language spoken endorsements. We are one of very few exam centres in the UK to extend the offer of the spoken language assessment service to private  candidates.

This opens up the GCSE English Language qualification (with an array of awarding bodies) for private candidates. Private candidates are often restricted to just sitting IGCSE English Language because they can’t find anywhere that will support learners not in traditional education settings to sit the GCSE English Language spine assessment.

However, at our exam centre you can have the best of both worlds. It’s your choice – just pick either GCSE,  or IGCSE English Language and we will help you get there. We fully appreciate that for many exam candidates the spoken language assessments are the ones they dread doing. Many of them explain that they don’t mind sitting the written paper, but that they are nervous about the public speaking part of the exam.

However, as this week demonstrated, our friendly team were on hand to support them all through the process and those that stepped through our doors with some trepidation certainly all left with a smile on their faces. Our English language assessors put them at ease and, we must say, the topic areas that were presented were fabulous; such a wide and varied range of subject matter.

To be honest our assessors could easily have listened to you all for so much longer than the allocated 10 minutes.
